I bought a new 2.0 USB hub to attach a SeaLink USB serial device and a
printer to the same port.  When I was trying to use some software that
uses the serial device it kept going back and forth between USB0 and
USB1.  In the end I had to connect it directly to the computer.

This serial converter has acted strangely on hubs and I need to attach
it directly to the computer.  Maybe it requires the full 500ma?
