You can make a filter on the thread's subject line and have it archive it as it 
comes in as well as archive any existing threads that match the subject line.

Click Settings in the upper-right of the page, and then choose Filters.  "Create 
a new filter" at the bottom.  In the Subject: form field put in enough to 
capture the thread but not too little or too much.  Too little and you cast a 
wider net; too little and you may get wanderers.
