[ale] OT: CD drive and revolution speed correlation?

Got 'em.

The outliers are interesting as well. Yes. Clearly a decreasing
exponential function. wondering about bus speed of the IDE channel,
buffer size on the drive, read cycle rate from the buffer...

Looking at the speed 6-17 and ignoring the outliers, the change is
fairly consistent when there is a change. The flattening of the curve
suggests other factors (chipset, bus speed, buffer read speed, etc)
are impacting increased performance.
