Hey all -- here's an awesome opportunity that really shouldn't be passed up
if you can help it.

Zack Lieberman, a NYC-based artist/programmer/troublemaker/open-source
magician, is here at UGA this week giving several lectures and offering
workshops, both on Processing, a Java-like language/IDE for learning
programming and designing interactive interfaces, art, experimental sound,
etc., and then on OpenFrameworks, his art-oriented extension to C++. A lot
of the examples I've seen involve interactive animations, using sensors to
extend the interface away from the screen, and other fun and exciting
things. So come check out how an artist approaches programming (or how a
programmer approaches art). Feel free to forward this on to other interested
parties.

Zachary Liebermans work uses technology in a playful and enigmatic way to
explore the nature of communication and the delicate boundary between the
visible and the invisible. He creates performances, installations, and
on-line works that investigate gestural input, augmentation of the body, and
kinetic response.
