[ale] OT: Cell phone signal blocker

The legal issues of active blocking are easy - jail. But passive
blocking is untested waters. I did some grad school stuff in a faraday
cage lab room where the walls were covered in copper screen behind the
sheetrock.

I've seen wallpaper that is foil-based so a simple ground connection
will make a large signal blocker. Is it legal? I have no idea.

But war dialing the participants cell phones is slick. I have yet to
see a phone that doesn't give screen precedence to incoming call over
text message or web. Dial, ring twice, disconnect, repeat.
