[ale] Open-Source program(s) for Stock Trading ?

Anyone know of some open source scripts written in Perl (or php)?
My program puts orders in a mySQL table and I just want to get those
orders executed using the FIX protocol. Seems like there should be a
Perl version out there. I found Python here: http://*quickfix*engine.org/


Also:
Can anyone refer me to a statistician that can do a small/simple job?
I need to get a statistical analysis done for black box backtest results.
