The duties include, but are not limited to: 
provides leadership for the maintenance and support of highly complex
software; defines procedures for monitoring and evaluates, diagnoses,
and establishes work plans to resolve system issues and complex
problems; oversees major system and platform configuration, testing, and
evaluations; plans for and implements software upgrades and software
releases; identifies the need and/or requirements for system utilities
with enterprise-wide impact; provides support across multiple areas of
expertise; develops and maintains disaster recovery plans; maintains
system security; researches and recommends enhancements to the
infrastructure; provides technical expertise in the evaluation of new
technologies; prepares cost/benefit analyses for buy vs. build
recommendations

Qualifications

Detail oriented self starter with excellent customer service,
prioritization, interpersonal, grammatical and oral/written
communication skills. 

Preferred: 
Public library experience preferred. 
Three to five years of experience with the administration of library
technology applications, including experience with integrated library
systems. Database administration skills, with and experience in Oracle
or Postgresql.
