I guess I should have said "the corporatist place a puppet dictator at the top of the pyramid".

I wonder when they will rename this country, "The United Corporations of America"? Orwell and Huxley never suspected that it would actually be the giant corporations that would really wind up being the "Big Brothers" and pushers of "Soma".

Contrary to popular belief, we do NOT live in an environment of Capitalism, (where markets are free to move under their own volition) but do, in fact, live in an environment of Corporatism. (where a small number of large corporations exert significant control over all government and private activities)

Within recent history, we have seen 2 distinct ramification of where corporatism can lead: One is Imperialism where a government will often draft armies and fight wars on behalf of large corporations. (e.g., England fighting wars in India on behalf of the East India Company or in South Africa on behalf of the De Beers and our own country fighting wars for oil companies) The second is Fascism where a small number of corporatist take over total control of the national government and shape it into a pyramidal structure, like a corporation, and place puppets in the top tiers of the pyramid. (when the puppets get out of control, it's called Nazi ism)

I often wonder just how far this will go.

I'm not saying there isn't undue influence, but please, get the words right.
