[ale] Picking a home paper / photo printer

All,

I've got a high-end printer at the office with all the high-end
features I can dream of, but now I want to replace my home printer.

I don't need huge speed, duplex, etc.

I do want good paper handling (ie. no mis-feeds), photo printing
(including 4x6 photo paper, etc.)

A simple copier / scanner would be nice as well, but not at the
expense of reliable paper handling.

I've been reading reviews and looking at printers in Target/Micro Center/Costco.

And I think I know less now than when the day started.

Micro Center says Epson have ink issues with it gumming up.

The reviews by the pros seem to totally ignore reliability and focus
on features / speed. The reviews by the users seem to be pretty
negative in general.

Any suggestions?

Obviously the cheaper the better, but I'm more concerned with reliable
paper handling than anything.
