My printer (Epson Sylus PHoto r340) no longer works with 8.04. It's
been fine in 7.04 and 7.10, but on upgrade to 8.04 it has stopped. I
upgraded 3 machine months apart and it stopped in each case on
upgrade.

I'm a pretty experienced linux admin and I haven't been able to find a solution.

So I'd say the upgrade went smoothly, but as always with any
distribution, there are some things that won't work right.
