Q: How do you get to the emacs menus in console mode?

Despite my love for VIM... I've started turning to the dark side and
occasionally use emacs now for editing LaTeX files.

I prefer to use emacs via 'emacs -nw' in a terminal, rather than as a
window, but in the terminal I can't flail around in the menus like I
occasionally have to do in Emacs.

Tried to RTFM, but to no avail so far.
