It may be easier to move things to a Centos 5 box which is basically F6.
F6 to f9 can be done (that's what I'm using now) but moving over to
Centos eliminates (or postpones for a longer while)  chasing the Fedora
tail of depracation.

btw, 6 to 7 was the hardest of all the moves.
