I only mentioned it because historically the 64-bit releases of Ubuntu
have been slightly more picky about the use of 32-bit proprietary
blobs. :-)
Of course, I wish the blobs weren't necessary at all, personally. I am
sick of things breaking that I can't look into and try to fix. Lately,
it's only been a problem (for me) with Flash, but the ATI drivers are a
sore spot, too.
