[ale] snmptrapd.conf file examples

Hi Pete,
I just struggled with this stuff last month.  I wrote some quick notes
on my blog at:

I hope this helps.  Honestly with the difficulty of setting up the
trapd and the issues with firewalls and default configurations
snmptrapd was a challenge.
The best advice I can give you is to start with the 'snmptrap' command
on your server and make sure you can recieve a trap on the machine
that has trapd running.
If you still can't recieve traps try sending a trap from a different
machine.  Make sure ports 162 (and maybe 161) are open.
Check /var/log/messages to see if the traps are going there.
And when all else fails there is tcpdump.
Let me know when your situation gets more specific. Like are you getting
As far as where do the logs go put this in your snmptrapd.conf file
"logoption f /tmp/trapd.out"
