Eh, I've no doubt that it would work fine, it's more of an aesthetic
thing. It just seems wrong to be using a windows protocol to connect a
macos x and linux box, know what I mean?

On the one windows box I have left (my game machine) I actually
installed Services for Unix just so I could mount the file servers big
partition over NFS instead of samba.
