I have a quick question about my Ubuntu box that hopefully I missing
something simple.

I have an Ubuntu box that when I assign an ip address, I can not ping
it. I can't even ping localhost host.

Here's my /etc/network/interfaces :

# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 64.22.117.157
netmask 255.255.255.248
network 64.22.117.152
broadcast 64.22.117.159
gateway 64.22.117.153

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet static
address 192.168.100.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 255.255.255.0

ifconfig eth1 results:

eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1D:09:2C:14:3B
          inet addr:192.168.100.1 Bcast:192.168.100.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::21d:9ff:fe2c:143b/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:492 (492.0 b)
          Interrupt:16 Memory:f4000000-f4012100

route results:

Any ideas? I know it's something simple (i hope).
