If it had been $1k of RedHat stock you would have $924 in RedHat stock.

$1k of Google stock would yield $1430 at the end of 2007.

$1k of Microsoft would sell out at $1194 on Dec. 31 2007.

$1k of Novell would yield $1073.

Redhat purchased closed source code and open sourced it.

Goggle does who knows what with the data they collect.

Microsoft released Vista.

Novell does the "license tango" with Microsoft.

SCO closed as $0.09 and has been delisted. As such I can't even pull up
their stock value last January!
