[ale] ale list now linked with google groups ale list

I see your point. But if you post to an open mailing list you cannot
complain when the message is available on the general web. Gmane has
been archive the list for years now --
http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.org.user-groups.ale . And Google indexes
the archive at ale.org; so Google already knows about the list.

I'm like you. I won't go out of my way to use the Google group if the
list goes down. I only visited it a couple of times to check on the
status of list last week. But I also understand that these are not
secret messages that are privy to the list's eyes only. Hell, do a
Google search for "james sumners" and you will get ALE mailing list
messages in the results. I just did it, and the tenth link is an ALE
message.
