The vmtools (free from VMware) install into the hosted environment, upon
which (after a reboot), you can move into and out of the vm without using th
Ctrl-Alt combo, and you *should* be able to copy/paste from the host to the
hosted.
An alternative (one I use a fair amount) is to actually rdesktop into the
hosted XP instance - it's a little unconventional, but works :)
