This reminds me of a cute trick seen on HP-UX:
Type "make love" and hit return - it will tell you:
Make: Don't know how to make love. Stop.
The Linux response isn't quite as funny.

Ah! Excellent! So now I can also make a backup of a table thusly:
Makefile:
%.sql :
mysqldump -u admin -p dbname $* > $@
Then if I say 'make tablename.sql', it will dump the table to
tablename.sql.
Thanks.
