After bugging every one for the past few days I found my answers.

In Ubuntu 6.06 my old Dell A920 and my new Lexmark X1270 is supported. 
For some reason the driver will not load in 6.10.

The wireless is a dead horse, it is broad casting and receiving at 1 
mb/s. None of the commands will make it goto 11mb/s, so the only option 
left is a new card.
