open up an xterm and do the following:

mail person at thislocation.com < logfile

Where 'logfile' is the logfile you want to send to the person.  Grant 
it, they'll get the whole log file, but if you're not comfortable with 
Linux tools, this is the easiest way to do it.

Alternately, if you know it's towards the end of the log, grab the last 
few 100 lines of the log file and send it as follows:

tail -200 logfile |mail person at thislocation.com
