My friends, this is a case of their having found an H1B Visa person
to work this rate. They must advertise the rate and say "see, no
Americans tooks this job" so they can justify the H1B.
Note that the law also requires that they pay the prevailing wages
for this ($9 gets you a McDonald's employee, $15 gets you a
secretary in Atlanta).
If you are pissed off about H1B people depressing YOUR salary write
to your U.S. Congressman or U.S. Senator. Only the squeeky wheel
gets the grease.
