[ale] DST -- Learn something new every day

Nice enough but incorrect on at least one point. /etc/localtime isn't
always a symbolic link to the zoneinfo file - sometimes (as in RHEL)
it's a copy of that.

This means AFTER you update the zoneinfo file (which by the way won't be
named that either - e.g. America/New_York in RHEL) you have to copy the
updated zoneinfo file to /etc/localtime.

zdump I'm pretty sure was mentioned in a recent thread on Ale and even
if it wasn't there a link I put into a long DST thread at LinuxQuestions
here on Ale certainly referenced it.

An interesting article on the upcoming shift to DST:

http://www.linux-watch.com/news/NS6300294422.html

I had never heard of the command "zdump"

The command allows one to see if your system has been
updated to the new DST rules. If not, the article offers
clear instructions on fixing the problem.

That is, the instructions are clear enough even for me! :)
