[ale] Text Terminals (VT525 or similar)?

The old VT100s were pure mono as I recall.

The first VTs I saw with color were the Wyse VT320s.

You might be better off using the serial (old fashioned UART stuff - not
USB) on a PC and using a terminal emulator for your terminal though I
don't recall ever having used one of those that did color for terminal
emulation.  Of course the last time I used one I was still resisting
Windoze so used a DOS version of Procomm.

Don't remember. It's literally been years since I've had it out of
the box.
