Tim, i'm not sure i understand you. It doesn't even look like
automatix supports any flavor of Linux on the PowerPC architecture:
http://www.getautomatix.com/wiki/index.php?title=FAQ#How_long_will_Automatix2_support_a_version_of_a_distribution.3F
quoting:
How long will Automatix2 support a version of a distribution?
Full Support means we will add new features, fix bugs, update current
features, and update the resin core. Limited Support is the same as
Full Support with the exception that no new features will be added.
* Ubuntu 6.06 i386 and AMD64 (Dapper): Full support until June 1,
2007; Limited support until June 1, 2008
* Ubuntu 6.10 i386 and AMD64 (Edgy): Full support until October 31,
2007; Limited support until April 1, 2008
* Ubuntu 7.04 i386 and AMD64 (Feisty): Full support until April 31,
2008; Limited support until October 31, 2008
* Mepis 6.0/6.5 i386: Full support until June 1, 2007; Limited
support until June 1, 2008
* Debian 4.0 i386 (Etch): Full support until the current version of
Debian Testing (Lenny) goes stable.
So, can you explain what you mean? i'd love to get this figured out,
because trying to run non-free software (which is mostly built for
x86) on PPC is quite frustrating in general. If you've got a
solution, i'd really like to hear about how it works.
