[ale] bash path problems

By default, login sets the path to /usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin for normal users. See "man login" for details. To change this, go to /etc/security and edit pam_env. Add something like:

PATH DEFAULT=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:${HOME}:/bin

or however you want the default path to look.
