I haven't had a hit in days here :) of course I am in the middle of nowhere 
with no power drain nearby. I did count 23 separate power hits 2 weeks ago, 
the day ( Sunday or Monday?) when we got 5 inches of rain overnight. I 
haven't quite figured out how to stop it, but my APC not only opens a new 
terminal type window and lets me know the power has gone out, it 
also "writes" to each terminal window I already have open.
