[ale] Heinlein's 100th

My mom and my older brother before me devoured every Heinlein book ever
written so I was lucky enough to have the complete list of his works
available to me when I first ran across it. I recall once suggesting to
an English teacher that I do a book report on one of his and the teacher
said she didn't like "juvenile" literature. My mom's response to that
was "tell her to read 'Time Enough for Love' or 'I Will Fear No Evil'.
The idea of that old biddy reading those books was funny as hell to me.

One of my favorite concepts from Stranger in a Strange Land was the
"Fair Witness". I often qualify things I say and when people ask me why
I explain that concept to them. Funny nowadays to hear people on
occasion use the word "grok" even though they've never heard of
Heinlein.

'Rolling Stones' and 'The Moon and Harsh Mistress' by the way have a
character in common. She was the matriarch in the former and in the
latter (a prequel sort of) she was a young girl in the lunar revolution.

The very first sci-fi book I read (after "A Trip to the Moon" with the
Chelsea Bonestell illustrations) was "Rolling Stones" by Heinlein. I've

been an addict ever since...
