  Hey all, I'm looking to fill 2 positions.  The positions will be working
on Linux systems though you can run windows on your personal machine usually.

Internet Thread Analyst:
Location: Atlanta

Job mission: The Internet Threat Analyst is responsible for researching,
investigating, and tracking current Internet threats, including bot armies,
phishing, and malware.  The person in this role is also accountable for
providing Damballa with thorough, accurate reporting and analysis of
operational data, such as trends in bot army capabilities, size, and
membership.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
 1) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
 2) Manage the queue of reports of new bot armies and other Internet threats;
    render decisions as to the relevancy and accuracy of reports
 3) Analyze Damballa's security operations and prepare reports on production
    activity and trends
 4) Analyze bot army and malicious software behavior; classify bot armies and
    malicious software by capabilities and manifest behavior.

Qualifications & Experience
1.  Data analysis and reporting                                 3 years
2.  Demonstrated Knowledge of Threat Modeling                   2 years
3.  Internet applications and protocols                         3 years
4.  Working knowledge of Unix systems utilities                 2 years
    (e.g., csh, sh, perl, awk, sed, RCS, etc.).
5.  Demonstrated knowledge of one or more scripting or          1 year
    programming languages, such as python, shell, perl, php,
    java, and/or C
6.  Demonstrated knowledge of SQL programming and statement     2 years
    preparation for the efficient execution of database queries
    (PostgreSQL preferred)

KEY Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
1.  Demonstrated project management skills.
2.  Demonstrated customer service experience. In particular, the candidate
    should show that they have  worked closely with clients to test and
    release full packages and small updates.
3.  Ability to think creatively and to speak and write clearly, particularly
    in effectively communicating technical ideas and concepts to staff and
    clients.  Ability to teach and train groups of semi-technical people.
4.  Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, the sciences,
    engineering or other related technical fields.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
  Candidates need to have the ability to work in a fast paced, changing
environment.  Position requires the ability to learn technical skills quickly
and without formal training - this is probably the strongest requirement of all.

Quality Assurance / Release Engineer
Location: Atlanta

Job mission:  Release engineers are responsible for co-ordinating the packaging
of software from the engineering team, performing QA/Testing duties and
reporting bugs to engineering.  Once the software has reached an acceptable
level of cleanliness the RE transfers the accepted package to the production
environment, schedules a maintenance window and manages the installation and
signoff testing against the production environment.


Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1.Quality assurance testing
2.Assist engineering in reproducing and eliminating bugs
3.Software packaging from source in preparation to install
4.Software installation on testing
5.Software installation on production
6.Verify testing platform is indicative of the production environment
7.Develop proper QA and Release procedures to support the release process

Qualifications & Experience
1.  SVN (Subversion                                             2 years
2.  Working knowledge of Quality Assurance testing practices    2 years
3.  Working knowledge of Release procedures                     2 years
4.  Working knowledge of Unix systems utilities                 2 years
