[ale] Linux/PPC on i386 box : virtual or otherwise

Jerry, that's a bit of an odd question.  past the installation only a  
few names will b e changed from good-ole' every day linux.

What in particular are the challenges you're looking to overcome or  
the information you're looking to gain that you don't have now?
