For about the past seven or eight months, I have had my Toshiba
Satellite (A55-S1064, purchased in-store from Wal*Mart), which has been
working beautifully with the Ubuntu family of systems. However, it
doesn't run FreeBSD all that well (there seems to be a problem in the
SATA driver that this system requires or something; I can boot up
FreeBSD from a cold boot, but from a warm boot, the system hangs booting
at the SATA driver).

The display in my system also works really nicely in the dual-head
configuration.
