[ale] Ubuntu for developers?

My development machine is Ubuntu. Mostly because Ubunutu is most
laptop friendly distro (I dev from home then, dev from the office)
Most development tools are not installed by default, but since this is
Debian based, apt-get fixes this quite easily.
