[ale] [OT] Road Warrior Syncing

I am a linux person and some of my windoz
friends are asking how they might sync their
road laptop with their home desktop.

One in particular is using Bell South DSL.
That person also mentioned Panda and LogmeOn
anyone know about these things.
I wondered about rsync since it works on windows
also, but I wonder how you tunnel back into your
home machine unless you have a static addr.

any info would be appreciated.
