What I've seen with the laptops would be that they would just shut off.
This could be heat related where even the fan could not cool it enough
to keep it running.  These problems were on a brand new Dell.

I have a ZE1250 that has experienced this problem and ever since I've
bought a Targus fan pad that is powered by USB it has shown promise.  My
ZE1250 is probably about 4 years old now.
