Hrm.

I can't see anything wrong in particular at the moment with the mouse
configuration, but you may want to try something different altogether.
See if you can run gpm to work on the mice, first.  If that works, see
if you can get gpm to output to the gpm repeater device, and see if X11
will read from that.  You will have to google around a bit, I don't have
instructions handy for that at the moment.
