[ale] Slackware 10.2 Makes me cry

I switched from RedHat to Slack cause I want to learn more under the
hood stuff. Personally, I should build another machine to do test on
before this one. The last upgrade I did, I didn't like. What a vendor
complies for you in the package programs "Apache" may not be what you
want. I can still say if I had done this on a M$ machine I would have
had to format and reinstall and loose everything. At least, this may I
had it all backed up and could search the tar file for the configs and
home dirs. And I was smart enough to put root, home, and usr local on
different mounts.
