James Gosling, known to many as the Father of Java, is coming to
Atlanta on September 19th -- and you're invited!

James Gosling is best known for designing the Java programming
language and overseeing its implementation. His achievements also
include the engineering of the NeWS window system and the original
Unix Emacs editor. He has recently been a contributor to the Real
Time Specification for Java. He holds a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon
University and a B.Sc. from the University of Calgary. Mr. Gosling
currently spends his time as a researcher at Sun labs, where his
primary interest is software development tools. He is a big fan
of cooking.
