[ale] web page weirdness

ok, so I guess I don't understand what I am missing.
when I pull up the local WSB weather page, I get a little box that says 
doplar 2 radar

in a box, no graphics. Yet when I click on the pull-down slider that 
says doplar 2 radar loop, I get the animation and the web pages.
what am I missing?? this is Firefox 1.5.0.2
