[ale] gmail losing e-mail?

Has anyone noticed that gmail seems to be losing e-mail?

I thought I had seen it before, and just now I was looking for an
e-mail I sent this afternoon.

I could not find it in my sent folder nor by doing a search.

By chance I cc'ed my real office e-mail address so I know I sent it.

I'm losing faith in gmail.
