[ale] Enabling access via SSH

If they are trying to run X apps, they will need to access the machine
with: ssh -X username at machine and note it may take a while for the
remote screen to appear on the local console.
firewall should allow "established,related" :
iptables -A INPUT -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT
