I'll second that one.  I've tried to use Evolution a number of times,
and I think that Thunderbird is quite a bit better.  It's easier to
train in things like Junk mail, works well for massive POP3 mail traffic
(I'm on several mailing lists), and does newsgroups very well.  From
what I've seen, it handles IMAP nicely, too, though the only IMAP mail I
have is through my school at the moment, and I don't have much traffic
coming in on that just yet.  Multiple mail accounts, though, are a
breeze, and HTML mail is as simple as adding the sender to your contacts
list.  In addition, it supports vCards very nicely.

With the extensions that you can add to it, it's very nice.  Also, the
spell-checking-as-you-type is great.  Add the fact that it's cross
platform, and it's a winner, hands down.
