[ale] shifting permissions

It never worked all that well for me, but in KDE, when you insert the 
card, it pops up on the desktop.  Right clicking on the device brings up 
a menu, contained therein is a umount option.  It always gave me the 
"only root can dismount" error (SuSE 10).
