[ale] What's up with gmail?

In the last couple days I have had 3 different mailing lists reject my
e-mail due to HTML content..
Apparently gmail has added a multipart format. A plain text section and a
HTML equivalent.
I can't find a way to disable this "feature".
Does anyone have a solution?
FYI: I pretty much use this gmail account exclusively for mailing lists, so
this is a big deal and worth moving to a different webmail provider over.
See sample reject below:
I think the offending statement is:
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
boundary="----=_Part_4933_24570638.1126702706665"
Thanks
Greg
