I had that problem... My first computer was a Cordata CS40, an IBM PC XT
clone... the first printer was a Citizen something or another dot matrix
printer, although I completely forget which it was.

We had acquired Microsoft Works 2.0 for DOS, which was on like five
5.25" floppy disks and I used it for awhile. Then we got an Epson Ink
Jet printer. Ironically enough, some of the teachers only stopped
accepting homework assignments when I printed them on the ink jet
printer, for whatever reason.

*shrugs*

Of course, nowadays, people refuse assignments if they're not printed
out on a computer. Go figure.
