I've had significant stability issues with them in the past, and some
lingering issues even now. Generally the problem is on PE2650 systems
running RH 7.3 or RH 9. High network activity locks the system up
hard. I have yet to find a real resolution to the issue as Dell and RH
were of little to no help. There are several Bugzilla reports as well
as Dell support requests related to the issue that are closed out, but
the problem remains to this day. I gave up on it and just decided to
phase the systems in question out either through use of a different OS
or outright replacement. Based on several online discussions, it looks
like everyone else did as well. Frankly, I had neither the desire nor
the time to continue chasing the wind.
