I guess I'm just not awake.  My previous post on this issue stated that 
I didn't think you could do this after the window was open, but I was 
focused on the request of running a command.

Under Enlightenment, you can right click on the window border and select 
the border style.  Still, I'm not sure how it could be done from a 
script.  But, Enlightenment will remember your settings so that it won't 
have the border when you restart the app.

I guess the question is, what desktop and/or window manager are you running?
