I lowered the qualtiy of the screen to 640x480 and I was able to log in and
see the xwindows. It is not the best configuration because the icons are big
but that is a step forward. I am trying to install suse 9.1 and I will see.
 Maybe I will try the RedHat you stated above.Thanks for help.
