[ale] My iBook

I bought my first Mac in December of '86 and have owned a total of six
of them. I've never purchased AppleCare. I've only had one warranty
claim - on the most recent purchase. My 800 Mhz iBook G4 developed a
flakey trackpad.

Possibly with the move to lower price points Apple has had to make some
compromises. The iBooks and PowerBooks do seem to receive more recalls
than other Apple products. However, based on my past experience with the
brand, I'll bet Apple's record is better than that of other laptop
manufacturers.
