Chris, I don't know the pricing, but I do know you can buy resistors in bulk quantities, I think I saw a pack of 1000.

Does anyone know how much the discrete components (resistors, etc) 
cost?  I hope the prices aren't absorbinant  like at  Radio Shack. 
($2.00 for 10 resistors).  Also, can I buy 100 packs of leds and things 
like that?
